I am so embarrassed that it has been all summer and no new post! I guess you could say this has been the summer of "unforgettable". So many changes have happened- some great and some sad. Kevin and I have been SO blessed in every aspect of our life for the last 3 years, even when from the outside looking in, things have not seemed so great. The "re-evaluation" of dreams is an extremely conflicting act. The whole point of having dreams (to me) is the journey of pursuit AS WELL AS fulfillment. And the "journey" has dominated any close fulfillment in recent years. With this said, Kevin has decided to put his big dreams on hold for a few years and pursue some shorter-term dreams. He has come to understand that you don't have to wait until you fulfill dreams to give back. Giving back is half the fun when you have a gift as he does. When Kevin met Jon Sinclair over a year ago, he discovered a trust and friendship that has been so healthy for him. He has never worked with a coach that he knew had his best interests at heart. As Kevin came to realize he needed to put tour golf on the back burner, Jon seemed to be the one person who reluctantly understood (as a coach) but believed in Kevin enough as a man to ask him to come work at his awesome training facility in Euless, TX.
So here we are- ON THE MOVE! All the stars seemed to line up in that our house sold and the opportunity to work with Jon came in the same week. Meant to be???
Well, we will know soon enough! We sold our home Aug. 11th and plan to be in TX by October (with a temporary stay in Highlands, NC). So with this said, our summer has been a summer of changes, reflection, realization and chance.
With all of this I am certain that we have been blessed with amazing parents, sisters, brothers and friends. I will miss my NC friends dearly. I hope to be lucky to make more friends in TX! Ready for the next chapter!
