"Not accepting new patients"

I know the saying "I'm sorry, we are not accepting new patients" is just a sign that the doctor wants to be sure to give his/her current patients the highest level of care- and I really appreciate this.... however, why does it sting like a rejection?  I found a gulp in my throat when I just heard this at a very highly recommended Acupuncturist in the Dallas area.  I am sure there are other good ones, but this one seems to have an excellent IVF support program.
Speaking of IVF, after many conversations, Kevin and I have decided to transfer our 2 remaining 5-day old  embryo babies in June 2011, hence my reasons for acupuncture.  I am a bit nervous and need so many positive and excited voices around me to stay positive.  I remember when we went through this 3 years ago, I surrounded myself with only positive thoughts and comments from friends AND family.  I avoided friends and family that were not necessarily excited- and find myself doing this again.  After talking to my friend Darla in NC this morning, I am pumped up and feel so positive, so this is my way of doing it!
As for Davis and Kevin, they are on board and positive- so neither of them have to move out :) lol
Kevin is getting busy with lessons- had 4 last week- all new clients!  Davis is talking about EVERYTHING- counting to 3 and ABCs to about M or N.  He plays golf or at least has a golf club in his hand at all times during the day.... yes, even sleeps with his clubs.  Not sure where he gets this from :)
I will write a lot more with the upcoming excitement!
Love and Hugs.... m
