So, all of you with dogs understand that there is unconditional love from a dog at any given moment. Dogs seem to "take one for the team" in putting up with our sometimes silly behavior... for example- Halloween. TERRIBLE what we put our dogs through-haha! Also, I have learned having dogs live in a household with a child or children.... it is a whole new level of patience for our furry kids. I think Davis does at least one belly-roll on Luna everyday. She just patiently waits for 25 lbs of baby to get off of her before she lifts her head to give Davis a lick. She looks at ME the whole time he does his belly-roll as if to say "SERIOUSLY, can you just make him stop!"
I will say however that she is fed VERY well with Davis around. Sophie is too slow to get scraps, but Luna has gourmet meals 3 times a day.
There are times when our dogs frustrate us and add MORE work and responsibility to our life, but when Davis is older and has his buddies following him around all the time, it will be worth it. I grew up with dogs and I am happy my son will get to experience this joy as well!
